To be honest, I feel this collection lacks the edge Luella normally has (photos: telegraph.co.uk). I love the colours but normally there are a few pieces that I fall head over heels for, but this season I'm a bit disappointed. Overall, it's an OK collection and it will probably sell because it has the pretty-factor, but I'm not too keen on it.

I see you Freja! I don't like Christopher Kane's collection (photos: telegraph.co.uk) - the check print that was running through the whole collection was a bit too much, I felt it was a bit of an overkill. It's nice to see that the style has moved on from last season though, the light blue is lovely.
Moving away from Fashion Week, I've just put this Elizabeth and James bracelet on my wishlist (photo: saks)
At £160 I'm not sure I'll be receiving it any time soon, especially since a few other pieces are at the top of my list (I'm very good at prioritising!)

The bracelet is beautiful but I agree, 160 pounds is a bit steep of a price. I liked Luella's collection, but I'm not so hard to impress, throw some polka dots in and I'm won over :o).
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the pictures from the Luella show I thought "Oh, great, another person who's in love with it." But then I read your commentary and it's like you were reading my mind. It's not a bad collection, it's just nothing special.
